Canoing in the GORGES DU TARN
At Les Prades 4-star campsite, you can go canoeing in the Gorges du Tarn. Whether you’re a beginner or more experienced in the sport, you’ll be able to join in.
Why not canoe down the Tarn river and spend a memorable moment with your family ! For the over 7’s, children can try the MINOUCHETTE trail, which is 8kms long and leaves from the Mas de Lafont.
For the older and more experienced amongst you, try the SUBLIME circuit, over 16kms long !
WALKING IN THE SOUTH WEST
There are plenty of sporting activities and places to visit in the Aveyron region. Choose from a multitude of walks, with IGN maps (equivilent of OS maps) available at the campsite’s reception desk. From long-distance footpaths to shorter walks, there are plenty of trails, adapted to all levels. Our team will be happy to give you details of local itineraries.
Choose from the Gorges du Tarn, the Causses and the Cevennes National Park – you’ll be more than satisfied. Whether you’re a beginner or more of an expert, choose from circuits that will take from 2 to 5 hours, following well maintained and marked out paths.

Off road in the GORGES DU TARN
Mountain biking is a very popular sport in the Gorges du Tarn. 10 cross-country circuits are available on the Millau Grands Causses Sports Nature site.
Guidebooks are on sale at the local tourist office, to help you find out about the mountain bike circuits in the area, and where to hire a bike.

Discover one of Europe’s longest gorges ! The geological fault is over 500 m deep, and is home to an exceptional variety of faune and flora. The gorge cuts through the Grands Causses, whose desert-like scenery never ceases to amaze visitors.
You can also immerse yourself in local history, taking the time to visit our medieval castles and centuries-old villages, typical of the region. The magnificant scenery of the Grands Causses Regional Park can be explored by taking part in one of the activies on offer : by canoe, on horse back or by mountain bike. Or watch in awe as the vultures soar on the thermals.
For those of you looking for thrills and spills, there’s plenty on offer at Millau, known for it’s outdoor sports (rock climbing, Via ferrata, canyoning, speleology, paragliding, canoeing, trail running…
Aveyron offers magnificant countryside, with no fewer than ten towns classed amongst « The most beautiful villages of France ». The campsite is proud of it’s local heritage and scenery, and enjoys sharing this enthousiasm with guests.
