Between gorges and causses

The Prades campsite is located in Mostuéjouls (Aveyron), where the sumptuous Tarn Gorges open onto a welcoming, tree-filled valley. It is located in the Grands Causses Regional Natural Park, on the border of the Cévènes National Park.
The campsite is located on the left bank of the Tarn, in the setting of the cliffs of the Causse Noir and those of Sauveterre.
It is at the edge of splendid natural place : the Tarn Gorges of course, the Jonte Gorges, the wide plateaus of the Grands Causses, the Tarn valley towards the Raspes.
A beautiful heritage nestles in the surrounding landscape : Peyrelau tiny town with character, the village of Mostuéjouls (on the opposite bank to the campsite) and its lovely church of Notre-Dame-des-Champs on the river bank, the castle of Peyrelade, the medieval village of Compeyre. Not forgetting, a little further downstream, the famous Millau viaduct.

Did you know ? The Tarn river rises at Mont Lozère (48), the highest point of the Cévennes National Park. It is 380km long and flows into the Garonne at Saint-Nicolas de la Grave (82) The Tarn Gorges are constituting the longest karstic canyon in Europe (53km).
